藝術家李昕
李昕，1957年生，台灣人，從事繪畫創作前為執業牙醫（1981-1995），1995年以後辭去牙醫師的工作，設立佛朗明哥舞蹈團並專職繪畫創作．她所創立的舞蹈團在台灣受到很大的歡迎，並引起國內佛朗明哥舞蹈潮流．她的繪畫創作同樣受到極大的肯定，於1995年開始於台灣及世界各地展出作品．因為過去從事牙醫工作的關係，讓她有機會觀察男性在面對女性牙醫時的恐懼反應，她的作品因此也經常出現性別議題，備受注目．
About Lee Shin
Lee Shin was born 1957 in Taiwan. She worked as a dentist from 1981 to 1995. Since 1995, she is a professional painter and flamenco dancer. she lives and works in California and Taipei now. She began exhibiting her work since 1994 and has been actively attending various art exhibitions in Taiwan and around the world. In 1995, Lee Shin gave up her dentist job and founded a flamenco dance company in Taiwan, which has lead a trend of flamenco dance in Taiwan. Furthermore, Lee Shin’s paintings are very welcomed and discussed, particularly in the forums related to gender studies.
