About Louise Xu
Born in Chang-Hua County, she completed her Bachelor degree in German Literature at Catholic Fu-Jen University in Taipei, Taiwan, in 1995. She has worked as an editor for many years, then left for Germany in 1999 to continue a further study of art history. In August 2007, she was awarded a Master Degree in Art History by Free University Berlin, Germany.
After she completed her study, she then contributed herself in the field of contemporary art and was involved in many significant international art projects such as Taipei Biennial (2008, Taipei Fine Art Museum) and Animamix Biennial (2010, Moca Taipei). Since March 2010, she formally joined the exhibition team in Moca Taipei, which is the first art museum in Taiwan solely dedicated to contemporary art.
Since 2013 she established the independent art/culture center, Artstream publication, which is dedicated to promoting international art and cultural programs. Since 2017 the could gallery of Artstream, Real Art X. Gallery is formally opened.
